Often called the “Father of Modern Missions”, William Carey is a well-known name in missions. He served for 41 years in India, translating the Bible, spreading the gospel, and making disciples of Christ.
Carey is an excellent example of perseverance, dedication, and sacrifice in missions. Because of this, we have named one of our main training buildings at our new VBM campus the “Carey Center.” This building has several offices, classrooms, a kitchen, and a gym.
The only part of the building that is currently functioning is the gym and the bathrooms. The remainder of the building needs to be remodeled. A section of the flooring has settled and will need major foundation work done to be able to use it, but another section is unaffected by the foundation issue and is currently being remodeled.
Please pray with us about the first phase of the Carey Center Remodelling project. This first phase will cost us approximately $90,000* to complete. When it is done, we will have a large kitchen for various events and functions, several offices and classrooms, and a beautiful entrance lobby and common area.
So far, the Lord has provided $14,477.71 for this project, and we need a further $75,522.29 to finish this first phase. To give, you can:
- SEND A CHECK to Vision Baptist Missions, PO Box 647, Dawsonville, GA 30534 and mark your donation “VBM Campus”.
- GIVE ONLINE (choose “VBM Campus” in the designation box).
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. The Carey Center will be a tool that VBM can use to help train and send missionaries more missionaries worldwide. Souls are being saved all around the world through the work of VBM missionaries, and we pray that through your investment even more lives will be changed by the gospel.
