What is the Our Generation Easter Offering?
The Our Generation Easter Offering is your opportunity to invest in the next generation of missionaries. On or before Easter Sunday (April 17, 2022), churches across the country are committing to pray and take up an offering for the Baptist Center for World Evangelism.
The Baptist Center for World Evangelism is home to the Our Generation Training Center and Vision Baptist Missions. The entire purpose of this property is to help local churches train and send missionaries worldwide.
How Has God Been Blessing?
The vision for the Baptist Center for World Evangelism began in the summer of 2019. We were outgrowing our temporary facilities at Vision Baptist Church and began looking for a place to train more missionaries. In the fall of 2019, we began raising money and asking God to provide the right piece of land.
By November 2021, God had provided $600,000 to purchase over 60 acres in Cherokee County, Georgia, and we began working on the first phase of development. During this stage, we realized that an “extended amount of time” was going to be a factor before our first building could be completed on the property.
In February 2022, God opened a new door for us to purchase a 16-acre property in Dawson County, Georgia which had five structures already built on it. This saved us at least $700,000 and 2-3 years of construction. It also provided a place that we could begin using immediate for dormitories and classrooms.
God has been very good to us! We are so thankful for all those who have partnered with us in this endeavor. In the short-term, we plan to maximize the potential of the Dawsonville property. And in the long-term, we are thankful to have the larger Cherokee property for future expansion!
What Are The Current Needs?
We are asking God to provide $300,000 for the next phase of development on the Dawsonville property. These funds will be used for:
- Renovations (38%)
- Fixtures, furnishings and equipment (15%)
- IT and communication technology (8%)
- Inspections, permitting and environment (6%)
- Construction planning (33%)
A Word From Our President
On behalf of Vision Baptist Missions, I want to personally thank you for all that you and your church have done to get many VBM missionaries to the field. I firmly believe that your church is making an eternal difference around the world for the cause of Christ.
While we are seeing many new missionaries sent and many more people now being reached with the Gospel in the regions beyond, we are fully aware that the task is far from finished. Now more than ever, we need more “boots on the ground.” We need more people who are called of God to be trained, prepared, and sent to plant churches, preach the gospel, disciple believers and train leaders for the ministry. Together, through the Baptist Center for World Evangelism, we can establish a place where hundreds of future missionaries can receive the training they would need to serve the Lord on the foreign mission field.
Would you prayerfully consider committing to taking part in the Our Generation Easter Offering?
We know it is not going to be long before our Lord returns. Before He does, may we continue to strive together for the furtherance of the Gospel.
Yours to evangelize the world in our generation,
