Vision Impact Weekend | 3 Days | Only $44,860 Remaining!

This weekend, Vision Baptist Missions will host over 25 young people for Vision Impact Weekend. Thursday evening through Saturday morning, young people from various parts of the country will be coming to learn about missions and consider if the Our Generation Training Center might be the place for them. Please pray for God to continue raising up laborers for the harvest.

In the last two weeks, God has blessed in amazing ways, providing another $52,081 toward The Center for World Evangelism land! Thank you to everyone who has given to this project and to all those who participate in the World Evangelism Golf Tournament! Since we began raising money to house students over two years ago, we have seen the Lord provide $595,140! What an amazing God we serve!

We now have only 3 days left to reach our goal of $640,000 by July 31st. We only lack $44,860 to reach that goal. Would you consider helping us in these final days? We have received encouraging news that we have more time until we need to make the land payment as the zoning is taking longer than we expected, but we would still love to hit this goal.

Would you please pray and help us? To find out more about how to give, go here.

May 1-2 Share-a-thon | 36 Hours of Praising God

May 1-2 Share-a-thon | 36 Hours of Praising God

On May 1st and 2nd, from 6 AM-midnight, each day, we will be having a Share-a-thon to try to raise at least $225,000 for the Center for World Evangelism. This will help us purchase the land, and then we will need another $1.6 million to build the buildings.

The Center for World Evangelism will be dedicated to training and equipping missionaries to go around the world planting churches and training leaders. In recent years, God has expanded our mission board to nearly 70 missionary families, and we want to do even more to train and send missionaries all over the world.

During the Share-a-thon, you will be able to enjoy…

  • Preaching, teaching, and music from missionaries around the world.
  • Stories of how God has changed the lives of men and women in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
  • Videos and live updates from churches and ministries all around the world.
  • The opportunity to give and make a greater impact in reaching the world in our generation.

Make plans to join us online and pray about what you can give!

Danger of Being Blessed

Danger of Being Blessed

There is a danger in being blessed. There are usually two extremes when missionaries raise their financial support. Either the missionary has too little support or the missionary has too much and denies the Lord asking, “Who is the Lord?”.

Proverbs 30:7-9

Two things have I required of thee;

Deny me them not before I die:

Remove far from me vanity and lies:

Give me neither poverty nor riches;

Feed me with food convenient for me:

Lest I be full, and deny thee,

And say, Who is the Lord?

Or lest I be poor, and steal,

And take the name of my God in vain.

We must not forget where our support comes from! If we do not have enough to feed our family or put a roof over our heads, then we should re-evaluate how much we are believing God and how much we are working! On the other hand, once we begin to feel comfortable with what the Lord has provided, we must guard our hearts from pride and the feelings of self-reliance!

James 4:6-10

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 7 pSubmit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. 10 wHumble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

My dear brethren,

As we raise our financial support and serve the Lord, may we never forget where the provisions come from – our Provider!
